RoomPerfect is built into Lyngdorf and Steinway Lyngdorf amplifiers and processors. It works differently from most systems, so it’s worth reading all four steps before you start.

Before you measure
Beginner
- Connect and position your speakers and any subwoofers where they’ll live.
- On multichannel processors (the MP range), set the speaker layout and each speaker’s size first.
- Assemble the supplied mic stand. It needs no tools.
- On two-channel amplifiers such as the TDAI-1120, you’ll be asked for the distance from the mic to each speaker, so have a tape or laser measure ready.
You don’t need a silent room. Lyngdorf’s manual says background noise makes the measurement take longer but doesn’t affect the result.

How RoomPerfect works
Advanced
RoomPerfect first measures each speaker at your listening seat (the Focus position), where the speaker’s direct sound dominates. It then measures at random places around the room to learn how the room itself behaves. Comparing the two lets it correct the room’s effect while keeping the speaker’s own character.
The correction filters are generated automatically. Unlike Dirac Live, you can’t edit them point by point. What you can change afterwards is the voicing, covered in Step 4.
