Anthem ARC Step 3: Measure and Upload

Run it

Beginner

1. Open ARC Genesis and choose Auto Mode (or Professional Mode).
2. Select your device from the list.
3. Plug in the mic. If it isn’t found, check the cable and click Refresh Mics. ARC downloads the calibration for your mic automatically from its serial number.
4. Put the mic at position 1 and click Start. Each speaker plays test tones.
5. Move the mic to each of the other positions and measure again.
6. Check the measurements look sensible. You can re-measure a single speaker at a position if one looks wrong.
7. Let ARC calculate the correction, then review the graphs.
8. Click Upload to your device, and save the project file on your computer.

If the mic isn’t found

Try another USB port, avoid USB hubs, try another cable, and click Refresh Mics. This is one of the most common problems people report.

Reading the graphs and saving your work

Advanced

• The curve viewer shows each speaker’s measured response, the target and the predicted corrected response.
• ARC can create a PDF report of the measurements, targets and corrections, which is handy for your records or for asking for help.
• Always save the project file. You can adjust targets later and upload again without re-measuring.
• Re-measure after moving speakers or seating, or after big changes to the room.
