ARC Genesis runs on a Windows or Mac computer, not in the receiver. Getting the software, the connection and the subwoofer levels right first avoids the most common failures.

Anthem receivers and processors that come with ARC Genesis.
Before you measure
Beginner
- Download ARC Genesis free from Anthem’s website and install it on a Windows or Mac computer.
- Connect the computer to the same network as your Anthem, Paradigm or MartinLogan device, or by USB on models that use it.
- Find the ARC microphone and stand in the box. The mic connects to the computer by USB.
- Set up the speaker layout on your device and check every speaker plays.
- Make the room quiet: doors closed, fans and air conditioning off.
Subwoofer levels first
If ARC can’t get a sensible level from the subwoofers, the measurement fails at the subwoofer stage. Anthem’s fix is to use Quick Measure to set the sub level before the full measurement:

Auto and Professional modes, and profiles
Advanced
- Auto Mode keeps things simple and uses ARC’s calculated settings.
- Professional Mode unlocks the targets, crossovers and correction range covered in Step 4.
- Many devices can store up to four measurement sets and profiles, for example one for films and one for music. Some devices only allow one.
- ARC Genesis replaced the older ARC 1 and ARC 2 software. Some older Anthem models only support the older versions, so check Anthem’s compatibility list for yours.
